Recently, Coinbase has been facing issues, and the exchange is working tirelessly to salvage the situation. It started off with a connectivity problem some days ago but has worsened into system difficulties, which have logged users out of their accounts.
On November 23rd, 2021, users could not access either Coinbase Pro or Coinbase brokerage as a result of connectivity problems.
In a tweet, Coinbase stated:
“We’re experiencing connectivity issues again across Coinbase and Coinbase Pro. This may cause failed trades, delayed transactions, and unexpected behavior on the webpage and mobile apps. We’re back at it to get this fixed and restore full service. This can lead to failed trades, delayed trades, and unexpected behavior on the webpage and mobile apps.”
The next day, the 24th of November, the exchange stated via a tweet that it had solved the connectivity issue, as the platform was now working.
“We’ve resolved the connectivity issues affecting Coinbase products and services. We greatly appreciate your patience and apologize for any inconvenience.”
Some users have complained that they are still facing issues after Coinbase claimed to have improved connectivity:
“16 hours and still down???? bye Coinbase I won’t miss you or your customer service….oh I forgot, u don’t have any customer service.”
It is believed that the problem may be linked to the recent listing of some coins on Coinbase like CRO, Gyen, and Shiba Inu.
At the moment, GYEN can’t be bought, sold, or traded on Coinbase, not minding that the exchange-listed it and allowed users to trade it for a while. A Twitter user complained about this,
“Anyone got any idea when Coinbase will release my funds to Coinbase wallet? I have had 10k worth of Gyen pending transfer from Coinbase since the 29th.”
