The USDT issuer bought additional Bitdeer shares earlier in 2026 at around $8.85 each and sold part of its position near $20, securing significant gains while retaining most of its holdings.
Bitdeer is expanding beyond Bitcoin mining, investing in AI cloud services and data center infrastructure. The company reported 783 BTC mined in April and about $69 million in AI cloud annual recurring revenue.
Bitdeer shares showed little movement after the sale became public. Tether continues to back the company’s long-term strategy, maintaining a substantial stake despite taking profits on a portion of its investment.
