Quick Breakdown
- World Chain integrates Chainlink CCIP to enable secure WLD transfers between World Chain and Ethereum.
- Adoption of Cross-Chain Token (CCT) standard allows seamless cross-chain token operations.
- Chainlink Data Streams provide sub-second market data to power secure DeFi markets on World Chain.
World Chain, the Layer 2 network supporting the World ecosystem and its 35 million users, has adopted Chainlink’s Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol (CCIP) and the Cross-Chain Token (CCT) standard to enable seamless WLD token transfers between World Chain and Ethereum. The integration, announced Thursday, positions WLD for broader liquidity and market access while enhancing security across DeFi applications.

Secure WLD transfers across chains
With CCIP now live, users can move WLD between World Chain and Ethereum without relying on centralized bridges, reducing counterparty risk. The CCT standard allows token developers to integrate new or existing tokens with Chainlink’s protocol in minutes, creating a secure framework for cross-chain messaging, token transfers, and programmable actions. By leveraging Chainlink’s battle-tested infrastructure, World Chain developers can build advanced cross-chain apps and strengthen the utility of WLD across multiple networks.
High-speed market data for DeFi applications
In addition to CCIP, World Chain has deployed Chainlink Data Streams to deliver sub-second financial market data directly onchain. The integration provides developers with real-time, high-quality price feeds to power DeFi protocols, enabling fast settlement and enhanced liquidity for WLD-based markets. Chainlink’s pull-based oracles allow decentralized applications to access accurate price reports, supporting core functions such as lending, trading, and collateral management.
The latest upgrade builds on World Chain’s earlier collaboration with Chainlink to improve interoperability and create a secure infrastructure for cross-chain development. By combining CCIP’s interoperability with Data Streams’ real-time market data, World Chain aims to accelerate mainstream adoption of WLD, positioning the token as a key asset for cross-chain DeFi activity.
Meanwhile, 0G, the modular AI-focused Layer-1 blockchain, has also adopted Chainlink CCIP as its canonical cross-chain infrastructure and integrated Chainlink Data Streams to power its decentralized AI operating system signaling the growing momentum behind Chainlink’s interoperability solutions across both DeFi and AI-driven networks. The integration connects 0G to broader liquidity pools, opening new opportunities for AI-driven applications to interact with DeFi protocols.
