Blockchain analytics firm Arkham Intelligence has announced the launch of the “Arkham Perpetuals Exchange@, a new trading platform set to go live on Wednesday, November 13, 2024.
According to the analytics firm, this exchange will offer users a streamlined experience for spot and perpetual futures trading while introducing advanced transparency features, including on-chain auditing and traceable proof of reserves.
The exchange will integrate seamlessly with Arkham’s analytics platform, allowing users to leverage existing research and market investigation tools.
Arkham also noted it will introduce a points-based system for users based on their trading volume. While available to all, VIP accounts will enjoy a 10% points boost. Users will be able to redeem these points for Arkham’s native token, ARKM, after the first 30 days of trading.
Signups for the Arkham Perpetuals Exchange are currently open, though availability will vary by region, with restricted access in certain jurisdictions, including the United States.
This new exchange launch builds on Arkham’s ongoing growth in the crypto space, following the July 2023 Binance Launchpad token sale of Arkham’s native token, ARKM. The sale, which had a cap of $2.5 million and a maximum individual limit of $15,000, drew significant attention despite mixed initial reactions. Since then, ARKM has gained market traction, recently experiencing a 27% price increase to around $2.15 and earning a spot among the top 150 coins on CoinMarketCap.
In a separate development, the blockchain space saw another innovative project announcement. Spacecoin.xyz, a new blockchain venture, revealed its plans to create the first blockchain network operating entirely via satellites.
The project’s development team revealed in a “blue paper” on November 1 that the network will utilize the Iridium satellite constellation to create a secure, resilient system that is less vulnerable to common risks such as denial-of-service (DOS) attacks and censorship that often impact traditional earth-based blockchain networks.
