Vancouver-based Metasphere Labs, a tech and Web3 development company, has announced that it will host an online event on X Spaces on Green Bitcoin mining, sustainability and energy markets.
The firm noted in its press release that this event will take place on July 3, 2024, at 2 p.m. ET.
According to the press release, Metasphere Labs will cover six topics related to crypto mining, energy, development, and finance during the event. It also noted plans to discuss its efforts to boost sustainability in the Bitcoin mining sector.
Natasha Ingram, the Chief Executive Officer of Metasphere Labs, expressed enthusiasm for the upcoming event, pointing out that it is crucial to prioritise sustainable practices that are helpful for both society and the environment as the firm proceeds in navigating the future of cryptocurrencies and energy use.
Metasphere Labs is a Web3 and tech firm that builds solutions for metaverse, gamification, decentralised autonomous organisations (DAOs), and Web3. The firm tackles social challenges associated with climate change and focuses on a positive planetary impact.
Notably, the company has taken considerable steps towards advancement in the industry in 2024. In mid-May 2024, at the Consensus 2024 conference, the firm revealed two new products: the Decentralised Identity System and the Carbon Aware Routing Protocol.
The Decentralised Identity System platform leverages Bitcoin blockchain technology to advance online security and trust via distributed identity solutions, while the Carbon Aware Routing Protocol is developed mainly for computer networks and the internet. The Protocol was designed to allow internet service providers to route data packets based on priority, especially routes that minimise carbon emissions instead of prioritising the number of hops alone.
