Oort, a Web3 data infrastructure formerly known as Computecoin, is launching its edge network, the Oort Decentralized Edge Network (DEN), to significantly increase the scalability of Web3 infrastructure and pave the way for widespread deployment of Web3 dApps. With Oort DEN, developers will be able to efficiently build applications on Web3 infrastructure without sacrificing dependability, latency, or durability.

To assist Web3 developers in optimizing the performance of their dApps, Oort DEN provides many essential functionalities, all decentralized for internet-level scalability, such as SQL database, dynamic resource allocation (storage, compute, and bandwidth), quick file indexing and searching, and content distribution.
Oort DEN will comprise a large number of Oort’s edge node devices, known as “Deimos,” which will be deployed globally. DEN functions will be performed at the edge by Deimos devices, allowing for widespread use of Web3 apps.
Oort is currently seeking ecosystem partners to manufacture and market Deimos. Oort will carefully examine and select each ecosystem partner to ensure the network’s stability and security.
