The most popular meme token (Shiba Inu) will now be supported for online payments on the cryptocurrency debit card offered by Binance Argentina. According to an update posted early today by the verified handle of Shiba Inu, the SHIB token can now be used to pay at more than 90 million stores around the world.
As a result, Binance Argentina introduced a promotional offer for the new card processors. The first 5,000 users who apply for their card and complete a successful card transaction between September 12 and September 30 will be eligible to receive a 5 BUSD token voucher. Also, one qualified user will be selected based on Binance’s specific rules and given a coupon for 1 BTC worth of tokens.
Other coins previously supported include Bitcoin (BTC), Binance Coin (BNB), Ripple (XRP), Ethereum (ETH), and 12 others.
Cardholders can add, remove, or rank cryptocurrencies for spending based on their preferences by editing their payment priority preference on the Binance app from the card dashboard.
Users must have at least six cryptocurrencies and a maximum of twelve cryptocurrencies in their payment priority list.
Binance introduced the cryptocurrency Visa card in 2020 to reduce online payment friction, particularly for cryptocurrency investors. A buyer could spend EUR directly from their Binance funding wallet thanks to the Binance card’s real-time conversion of cryptocurrency to EUR at the point of sale.
However, this service is only available to European Binance users and Ukrainian refugees living in EEA countries.
Binance launched a taxi hauling service for its users to various locations directly on the Binance app earlier this year.
Users can pay for rides with either BNB or BUSD, and the service is available in 150 countries.
