Bakkt, a crypto exchange that was created in 2018, has crossed a milestone by striking a partnership deal with Google as regards payment. The exchange was birthed by Intercontinental Exchange, and it started out as a BTC futures platform that catered to investors. Later on, it launched a payment application that permits the usage of cryptocurrencies to make payments to merchants.
This agreement offers the holders of Bakkt debit cards the ability to seamlessly convert their cryptocurrencies to fiat when they want to pay via Google Pay. It will help a lot especially for those merchants that do not receive cryptos.
By collaborating with Google, holders of debit cards can make purchases through Google Pay.
CEO of Bakkt, Gavin Michael said,
“This partnership is a testament to Bakkt’s strong position in the digital asset market, to enable consumers to enjoy their digital assets in real-time, in a secure and reliable manner.”
With this new feature, users of Bakkt exchange can access the millions of merchants that use Google Pay. This means that shoppers can use crypto in different establishments.
